The Bayelsa State female basketball team is actively competing in the ongoing 2024 NBBF Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball Premier League (Atlantic and Savannah Conference).
The league is being held in phases:
- Phase 1 took place in Akure, Ondo State, from September 1st to 9th, 2024, where Bayelsa secured victories against Delta Force, First Deep Waters, IGP Queens, and Sunshine Angels, qualifying them for the top four in the Atlantic Conference.
- Phase 2 is currently underway in Enugu State, running from September 21st to 29th, 2024.
Bayelsa has continued their impressive form, defeating Sunshine Angels of Akure, IGP Queens, Delta Force, and First Deep Waters, thus qualifying for the top 8 teams heading to the grand finale in Lagos, scheduled for October 13th to 19th, 2024.
