Team Bayelsa continued its winning streak on 3rd Day of events at the 2023 National Para-Games. Team Bayelsa which had 12 Gold, 10 silver and 2 bronze Medals as at yesterday has added more medals to its kitten.
At the mainbowl velodrome of the Abuja National stadium where Para- Taekwondo events were ongoing, Samson Saaondo Ukpera won the first gold medal for Bayelsa State in the Pomsae event while Udoh Ability and Ahiakwo joy won Silver and bronze Medals respectively .
Bayelsa State Para-swimming athletes also won 2 more gold medals on Monday 11th December,2023. Other sports that had medals includes Para-power lifting, wheel chair tennis and Para-canoeing.
Bayelsa now seats on first Position with 16 gold, 17 silver and 5 bronze medals as at the time of filling this report.
