The Ministry of Youths and Sports Development in collaboration with the Bayelsa State Sports Council have directed all interested participants in the 2023 Olympic Day event to visit the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa for the collection of a pass.

Director of Sports Bayelsa State Sports Council, Sir Braveman Wodi in a statement urged participants to visit the stadium from this afternoon for the collection of the pass.

According to the statement those without the pass should be at the take off point Opolo, market square junction before 7am tomorrow morning before the commencement of the Sanitation exercise.

The statement notes that the event will come up on Saturday 24th, June 2023 with this years theme “Lets Move” to underscore the importance of carrying out a 30 minutes fitness activity for the day.

It explains that the take off points are Opolo market square junction for the 10 kilometers, INEC junction for kilometer 6 and St Jude’s Girls college for kilometer 2 all terminating at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

The statement also urges all participants to be at the starting point on time as African man time will not be entertained.
